Just a few minutes ago, Levi was rubbing 2 popsicle stick together trying to make a fire. On the recliner. This is the resulting conversation:
Me: Whats going to happen if it catches on fire on the chair?
Levi: I'll just blow it out!
Mesa: That will make it bigger.
Levi: Nuh-uh (giving her the "duh" look)
Mesa: Fire needs air like we do. It makes them bigger.
Levi: Stop watching so much smart tv!
He continues to rub them together and Mesa shines a flashlight on it for heat.
Levi: I smell fire!
Mesa: (sniffing)
Levi: Hurry, let's get outside. There is more air there!
I'm joining with Angela on her 30 day challange to be more positive. I'ts definitely something I have been working on.
Each day for the next 30 days I will make a list of the things I'm grateful for.
Day 1:
1. I am grateful that Sal could come home and change out car batteries for me.
This morning I had to run some errands. One of those was to stop at the dollar store for paper plates and dish soap. I happened to look over while I was in the checkout and saw a display of Halloween candy. And I remembered that Olivia was talking about Tootsie Roll Pops lat night. We had watched one of the old commercials on YouTube where the owl was going to find out how many licks it would take to get to the center of a pop. She really wanted to try it.We all had tootsie pops for breakfast. Its a good way to start a day! :)

I'm a happy wife and unschooling mom of 3 kids. I believe in peace and love. I'm a democrat. I'm a Christian. I love sweet tea, oatmeal cookies, spring flowers, autumn leaves, Christmas, Halloween costumes, baking, the smell of fresh mowed grass, the feel of a brand new book, sand between my toes, cool breezes, hymns sung in 4 parts, cuddling with my cats, heavy metal music, the sound of my children's laughter, and the feel of my husband's arms around me.
